What is Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that involves implanting pigment into the skin to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. This technique is similar to traditional tattooing but uses specialised tools and pigments designed for the delicate skin on the face.

It is particularly beneficial for individuals with allergies to conventional makeup, those with vision or motor impairments, or anyone seeking a more polished appearance without the effort of daily makeup routines.

The results can last for several years, but touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the desired look as the pigment can fade over time due to sun exposure and natural skin regeneration.

The Permanent Makeup Process

During your consultation we will choose your desired colours and also do a patch tests. After the consultation, I’ll book your treatment session, where we’ll begin by mapping your eyebrows or lip-line.

Once you’re completely satisfied with the design, I’ll start the tattooing process. While it can be a bit nippy, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable by continuously applying a natural numbing lotion to keep any discomfort to a minimum.

I specialise in brow microblading as well as advanced machine-based techniques and only work with the highest quality, hypoallergenic pigments that remain true to colour over time, so you can rest assured your brows, eyeliner, or lip colour won’t fade into any unwanted shades.

Natural hair strokes

Fine hair strokes are created using a nano microblade to simulate brow hair. Six week top-up included. Treatment time: 1-2 hours

ultra fine Nano hair strokes

Ultra fine hair strokes are created with the Permanent Makeup machine. Six week top-up included. Treatment time: 1-2 hours

Natural hair strokes with soft powder effect

Natural hair strokes created with a microblade and layered with a soft, smoky powder effect. Six week top-up included. Treatment time: 1-2 hours

Eyelash enhancement - top lash

Little dots of colour are added between the lashes to define them and to make your eyes 'pop'. Six week top-up included. Treatment time: 1-2 hours

Thin eyeliner - top lash

Adding a thin layer of colour just above the lash line to define the eyes. Six week top-up included. Treatment time: 1-2 hours

Medium eyeliner - top lash

Hi! My name is Karen and I'm thrilled to share my passion for permanent makeup with you. This is a passion I discovered later in life after years of struggling with makeup-sensitivity and over plucking my eyebrows. I learnt of permanent makeup through a television programme, which lead me to have my brows, lips and eyeliner done - and I was hooked!

I now want to help other ladies with similar problems, as well as issues such as thinning of eyebrow hair, loss of eyebrow hair due to alopecia or cancer treatments, or anyone in need of defining their lip contour or colour.

I am committed to providing a solution that means you can wake up every day feeling your absolute, fabulous best, with minimal effort!
